Enlightened Beginnings Ltd. has an immediate opening for an Early childhood assistant (TEER: 42202) at our location in Grimshaw, AB.

 

As an Early childhood assistant, you will perform some or all of the following duties:

 

·         Assist in carrying out programs that help in cognitive, emotional, physical and social
development of children.
·         Encourage children to take part in various activities including storytelling, songs and
other craft work activities.
·         Help prepare snacks and make room ready for lunch, rest and various types of activities.
·         Train and help children to learn and develop good eating, dressing and toilet habits
·         Responsible for making and submission of written observation reports to supervisor.
·         Assist in housekeeping work and help maintain equipment of daycare center.
·         Participate in staff meetings to discuss development and problems of children of
various age groups.
·         Help the supervisor and ECE’s in maintaining records.

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Completion of secondary school is required.
·         Experience in child care is asset.
·         Completion of an early childhood education assistant certificate program or post-
secondary courses in early childhood education may be required.
·         Alberta Staff Qualifications Certification is mandatory
·         First Aid/CPR is required

 

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (30-40 hours/week)

Compensation: $ 19.00 / hour
