Early Childhood Assistant Job

Assist Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities

Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, nap times, and transitions

Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment

Support children with routines such as dressing, toileting, and hygiene

Foster positive, respectful interactions with children, families, and staff

Monitor children for signs of emotional or developmental concerns and report to supervising staff

Set up learning materials, prepare activity spaces, and clean up after activities

Follow all childcare licensing regulations and centre policies

Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development when required

Early Childhood Assistant certification or equivalent experience (varies by region)

Current First Aid & CPR Level C (or willingness to obtain)

Clear police record check and vulnerable sector check

Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children preferred

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Physically able to lift, bend, and support children as needed
