Permanent Position: Dump Truck Driver

Wage Rate: $35.00 Hourly, for 40 Hours per week
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's License (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Language: Basic knowledge of English
JOB DUTIES:
• Operate and drive primarily straight trucks to transport goods and materials mainly on local routes and short inter-urban routes.
• Drive truck equipped with dump to transport and dump loose materials, such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, coal, or bituminous paving materials.
• Pull levers or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of dump truck
• Load and transport the dumping materials from main site to the dumping grounds
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.
• Maintain Logbook for each trip.
• Load dump from customers dump ground.
• Break Adjustments.
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, Drug test
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding.
The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day, evening or on weekends, if required.
Other: Candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
