TOP HAWK CONTRACTORS LTD. is looking for a reliable and experienced Drywall Taper / Finisher to join our team.
Position: Drywall Taper / Finisher
NOC: 73102 – Plasterers, drywall installers and finishers and lathers
Number of Vacancies: 1
Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland and BC
Work Location: On site
Wage: $30.00 per hour
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: As soon as possible
Language of Work: English
Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience
1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
Job Duties
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster.
Clean and prepare surfaces for finishing.
Cure freshly plastered surfaces.
Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowels and broad knives.
Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
Work at heights, including on scaffolding or swing stages.
Perform other related drywall finishing and taping duties as required.
