Position Drywall Patcher and Plasterer

Employment Type Permanent / Full-Time
Work Location Field work throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Beyond
Office Address 5 Enclave Trail, Brampton, ON L6R 4B3
Wage $36.00-$40.00 per hour; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week
Vacation Pay 4% of gross wages
Hours of Work 30-40 hours per week
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
• Identify cracks, holes, moisture damage, surface imperfections and repair by patching, replacing damaged sections.
• Apply drywall compound, fillers, plaster, and patching materials to smooth and restore surfaces.
• Sand repaired and patched areas to achieve smooth and even finishes suitable for painting.
• Mix plaster materials and apply coats of plaster using hand and power tools.
• Remove loose plaster, damaged drywall prior to repairs.
• Install and secure drywall patches, corner beads, joint tape, and related finishing materials.
• Apply texture finishes and blend repaired areas to match surrounding surfaces and finishes.
• Measure and cut drywall materials to required dimensions for repair and patching work.
• Operate hand tools, taping tools, sanding equipment, and spray tools safely and efficiently.
• Work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms when completing repair and plastering work.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe working condition.
• Collaborate with painters, supervisors, and other tradespersons to complete projects within timelines.

• A minimum of 7-12 months of experience in drywall patching, plastering is required.
