1001030831 ONTARIO INC. O/A TEAM J RENOVATIONS has immediate opening for a Drywall Installer (TEER: 73102) at our location in Mississauga, Ontario.
As a Drywall Installer (TEER: 73102) you will perform some or all the following duties:
• Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
• Install metal corner beads on exterior corners to provide protection and a clean finish.
• Apply joint compound to joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks using trowels and broad knives.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and install ceiling panels to create acoustical and coffered ceiling systems.
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
• Position and securely fasten drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs and joists.
• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program in plastering, drywalling or lathing or a combination of one years of work experience and some high school, college or industry courses in plastering, drywalling or lathing is required.
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (35 hours/week)
Compensation: $ 34.00/ hour
