Job Description:
• Assembles and installs drywall sheets with metal framing and ceiling grids, doorways.
• Mark cutting lines on material, using Chalk Line, pencil.
• Smoothing the rough surfaces by coating them with desired material for smooth finish.
• Cut fixtures or border tiles to size, using appropriate tools, and insert them into surrounding frameworks.
• Install blanket insulation between studs and tacks plastic moisture barrier over insulation.
• Seal joints between ceiling tiles and walls using tapping tools.
• Determine, trim and fit drywall sheets using hand tools and portable power tools.
• Assemble and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings for ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
• Sanding, trimming excess compound, rough edges of wallboard.
• Apply compound in layers and fill joints in-between panels with
spackle.
Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Post secondary education and/ or minimum one year experience in the field.
