Required Drywall Installer (TEER 73102)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Measuring and marking the dimensions of the area to install drywall.
• Cutting and laying out the position of drywall sheets check the position of doors, windows and corners.
• Positioning drywall sheets onto the wall or ceiling frameworks to metal or wooden studs.
• Installing drywall on ceilings and interior walls of buildings.
• Applying joint compound (mud) to drywall seams and nail/screw holes to create a smooth surface for painting or finishing.
• Installing tape over joints to reinforce and prevent cracks, ensuring a seamless finish.
• Sanding dried mud to achieve a smooth surface and performing touch-ups as necessary.
• Preparing work areas, including covering floors and furniture to protect them from mud and dust, and cleaning up after completing each job.
• Following all relevant safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work Environment.
