Requirements:
• Must be lawfully authorized to work in Canada
- Canadian citizen
- Permanent resident of Canada
- Temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit
• Knowledge of construction procedures, tools, and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches
Responsibilities
Tasks
• Reading blueprints and designs to understand the requirements of a project
• Supervise other workers
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
• Positioning and securing drywall panels to the walls or ceiling frames
• Inspecting installed drywall for any imperfections and making necessary corrections
• Ordering drywall supplies and materials as necessary
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
