Duties
• Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
• Using a trowel and broad knife, fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
• Apply tape to joints with a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
• To protect exterior corners, cut and insert metal corner beads.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place them in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Smooth out any extra product and let the coat dry.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
