Drywall Finisher Job

Term of Employment: Permanent Position, 35 -40 hours per week – Overtime Available
Location of Work: Edmonton, Alberta
Wage: $36.00 per Hour
Language Requirements: English

Responsibilities:
-Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
-Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
-Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
-Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
-Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
-Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
-Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
-Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
-Requisition materials and supplies

-Completion of secondary school is required.
-Completion of drywalling-related courses is an asset.
-A least 3 years of hands-on work experience in drywalling or related construction field
-Comfortable working in various weather and site conditions and physically capable of performing demanding tasks for extended hours
-Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality workmanship
-Strong problem-solving skills
