Key Responsibilities
- Operate a drywall boom truck to load, transport, and place drywall and related building materials at job sites.
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Safely maneuver equipment in a variety of construction site environments.
- Deliver materials accurately according to customer specifications and job site requirements.
- Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, dispatchers, and team members.
- Secure loads properly and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety regulations.
- Complete delivery documentation, inspection reports, and required logs accurately.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of equipment and vehicles.
- Report equipment malfunctions, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
Role Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid CDL Class A or B driver's license (as required by company and state regulations).
- Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements.
- Previous experience operating boom trucks, cranes, or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand delivery tickets and route information.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Prior experience in drywall, building materials, construction supply, or lumber distribution.
- Forklift certification and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Safe operation of boom trucks and material handling equipment.
- Understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
