About the Vacancy
BVGlazing Systems Inc. is seeking a dedicated, skilled, and detail-oriented Drafter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of technical drawings and models that support our engineering and architectural projects.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, or layouts based on sketches, instructions, and specifications provided by engineers or technologists
• Operate computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software or conventional drafting equipment to create and modify technical drawings
• Prepare design sketches and maintain organized documentation packages
• Verify drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications and standards
• Assist in updating Building Information Models (BIM), if required
• Maintain drawing records, revision logs, and related documentation
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support the preparation of technical reports, contracts, and tender documents as needed
Requirements for the Position
• High school diploma (required) completion of a college or diploma program in drafting is an asset
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant drafting experience
• Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drawings
Compensation & Conditions
• Permanent, full-time position, non-seasonal
• $36.00 per hour, minimum of 30-35 hours per week
• Overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate after 44 hours per week
• Benefits: Group Medical and Dental Plan
