We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in residential settings, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for both clients and household members. Locations of work: Work will be in employer's home and their 2 full-serviced rental properties:
1. Challand Lane SW, Edmonton, AB T6W 4N7
2. 111th St NW, Edmonton, Alberta T5K 2W5
Preference will be given to veterans, Canadian citizens (especially Indigenous people and young Canadians), and permanent residents (especially newcomers) in that order.
Tenure: Permanent employment, Full time, overtime available
Salary: $36 hourly for at least 30 hours per week (paid travel time between two locations within work hours)
Work Schedule: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime
Public transportation: Available
Accommodation: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment.
Number of positions available: One
Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate may be required
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Diploma for hospitality or Certification for housekeeping or similar certification is an advantage; valid driver’s license and own vehicle is an asset but not required
Experience: Will train, experience an asset
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Reference required

Specific Skills:
• Maintain cleanliness of employer’s residential and rental houses
• Daily household maintenance
• Clean rooms and showers
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Freedom and willingness to travel and work in two locations
• Maintain patio cleanliness and garden areas in two work locations
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
• Dust furniture
• Vacuum and steam-clean carpets, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• Make beds and change sheets
• Stock linen closet
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Mend clothing and linens
• Distribute clean towels and toiletries
• Disinfect rooms and other areas
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings
• Shop for food and household supplies needed for rental properties
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Take out trash bins as per schedule of the community
