Document Imaging Tech Job

Document Imaging Tech position is responsible for performing functions that support Physician Network Administration and document imaging in a hybrid environment (electronic and hard copy). Functions include, but are not limited to retrieval and delivery of health record; prepping, scanning and quality control; and general clerical support to the PN administration department.(Assignments Vary: the percentage of time spent will be determined by the specific job duties assigned; all HIM Tech l's will be cross trained to perform all functions listed above).

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) highly desired.
• At least one year of prior clerical or secretarial experience required.
• Computer skills required.
• Previous HIM department/document imaging or medical office education and/or experience highly desirable.
• Ability to work well without direct supervision.
• Must be detail oriented and have good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions appropriately using job knowledge and current policies/procedures.
