Job Description:
NewStart Canada Education & Immigration is a growing and client-focused organization committed to supporting individuals through their education and immigration journeys in Canada. We are currently seeking a dedicated Document Assistant & Marketing Support to join our team.
Position: Document Assistant & Marketing Support
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Hourly wage: $18.00 - $28.00/hour, Salary will be based on level of experience
Location: Burnaby, BC V5H 0J1
Work schedule: Monday – Friday
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Provide administrative and client support, including scheduling appointments, responding to inquiries, and maintaining organized client files
• Conduct initial assessments to determine client eligibility and advise on suitable immigration pathways
• Prepare, review, and submit a range of immigration applications (e.g., LMIA, work permits, study permits, permanent residency, sponsorships)
• Collect, verify, and organize client documentation to ensure compliance and completeness
• Monitor application progress and provide regular updates to clients
• Manage client billing, including issuing invoices and following up on payments
• Stay informed about changes in Canadian immigration laws, policies, and procedures
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions and documentation
• Support lead generation through follow-up calls, emails, and client engagement.
• Assist in preparing marketing materials, social media posts, and promotional content.
• Participate in community outreach, networking, or promotional events when required.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
• Professional and respectful demeanor with clients and colleagues
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages (e.g., French, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean, Spanish, Arabic) are considered assets
• Previous experience in administration, customer service, or sales/marketing is an asset
Education and Experience:
• Current post-secondary students welcome to apply
• RCIC designation is considered an asset
• 1–2 years of experience in Canadian immigration services is preferred
