Interior Motives Custom Upholstery Inc. is a North York based company that provides furniture and automotive repair and upholstery services. We specialize in custom automotive leather and vinyl interiors, marine leather and vinyl upholstery, and rip and tear upholstery repair.
ABOUT VACANCY
We are looking for a Dispatcher and Logistics Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have years of experience working in the logistics department of a similar company and would be able to work under pressure.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and implement effective logistics coordination from start to finish, including but not limited to job order intake, processing of requests, job assignment, securing of materials, assigning of workers depending on type of work, etc.
• Plan, manage and adjust the daily workload and staffing to minimize the unplanned overtime
• Oversee operational logistics, resolve work-related issues
• Requisition materials and equipment
• Keep logs and records of stock, executed orders, etc.
• Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of secondary school
- Completion of a post-secondary program of two to three years in business or supply chain would be an asset
- Minimum 4 years of experience in dispatching and logistics in the automotive or furniture repair/ maintenance industry
- Inventory maintenance experience
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment
WORK CONDITIONS
- Permanent, full-time position
- $36.00 per hour
- 35 hours of work per week
- Overtime pay ($54/ hour) applies after 44 hours of work per week
- Work location: 4361 Chesswood Drive, North York, ON M3J 2C2
