Trimac Transportation Services Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Dispatch Logistician (NOC: 13201) at our location in Mississauga, Ontario.
As a, Dispatch Logistician (NOC: 13201) you will perform some or all of the following duties:
• Plan and coordinate load assignments with drivers and customers.
• Ensure the drivers have the proper instructions to perform their duties safely.
• Listen to all driver’s concerns and act on them appropriately.
• Ensure the Company meets all customer requirements, and any changes are
communicated immediately.
• Coordinate and track supply of cement and related materials within the
organization to ensure timely shipment and delivery to the correct customers
sites.
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency for both the Company and the
customer.
• Ensure trailer interior washes are completed where required.
• Ensure all orders and trip events are recorded in the TMW in an accurate and
timely fashion.
• Where applicable, ensure that invoices and driver pay are completed daily.
• Where applicable audit TMW reports for compliance requirements.
• Service failure reports are recorded in TMW and brought to the attention of the
Branch Manager or designate.
• Ensure that the driver has adequate time to perform his duties safely and within
the Hours of Work regulations.
• Ensure all drivers and equipment meet regulatory and corporate compliance.
• Assign the proper equipment for the jurisdiction and the job requirements.
• Handle all necessary paperwork and customs documents for both U.S. and
Canada shipments to ensure smooth delivery across borders.
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a post-secondary education program of less than two years in Business or Supply Chain Management or 1-2 years of experience as a dispatcher, production clerk or scheduling clerk is required.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (30-35 hours/week)
Compensation: CA $ 36.00 /hour
