ABOUT THE VACANCY:
At this time, we are seeking a Director of Operations and Projects to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, direct, control and oversee day-to-day activity of the Operations and Projects department
• Ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to and production quality standards are met and upheld
• Develop the manufacturing department’s resources to ensure and improve productivity
• Develop production schedules and maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to ensure efficiency
• Plan and oversee the creation of the departmental budget
• Authorize project plans, production plans, and procurement schedules. Implement adjustments as required
• Prepare the final project execution plan and synchronize it with all departments
• Provide progress and cost reports and improvement suggestions to senior management
• Manage risks to minimize losses, production downtime, and inefficient processing
• Address and resolve production-related issues
• Recruit and manage manufacturing department supervisors and other personnel
• Oversee the training plan of manufacturing department personnel in the use of modern machinery or industrial methods
QUALIFICATIONS:
• College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction, or a related field is an asset
• 5 to 7 years of managerial experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong oral and written English skills
WORK CONDITIONS:
• Permanent, full-time position
• $158,000 to $180,000 per annum depends on experience
• 40 hours of work per week
