Job Description:
Directs and manages the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) operations ensuring compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations. Develops maintenance and improvement plans. Establishes departmental goals, policies, procedures and standards including streamlining and automating processes, improving efficiency and customer service. Develops and manages departmental budgets and supports large capital projects. Provides strategic leadership and supervision to staff. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Skilled in project management, problem-solving, analysis, follow-through, influence and persuasion. Ability to function as systems thinker and be solution minded with a global perspective. Ability to think independently and execute professional judgment on technical issues, set goals and determine best course of action to achieve desired results. Experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within a department.
Ability to take ownership of projects, anticipate department needs and develop appropriate responses, meet deadlines, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, be a quick and continuous learner, and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong public speaking and presentation skills, and ability to effectively communicate change.
Excellent interpersonal skills, “Customer Focus” attitude, and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to work in cooperation with other team members to achieve CSU goals and objectives.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint.
