Job Description:
Summary: The Director of Digital Experience will design and direct the Cook Children's digital experience strategy. The Director is responsible for the successful planning, execution and ongoing enhancement of all Cook Children's digital applications and technology. The role requires a deep understanding of how digital can be used to enhance the patient, clinician, and employee experience. The role requires collaboration with physicians, department heads, marketing, public relations, telehealth and patient experience leadership. The Director reports directly to the CIO and directs the work of the project leadership and staff in their respective applications/departments. The Director maintains the scope and work plan and ensures that all milestones and deliverables are on time and budget. The Director is tasked with the internal communication of project strategies, high level deliverables, plans, and schedules. Ensures all outcomes and deliverables meet organizational goals, objectives and quality standards. Major responsibilities include the definition, adoption and consistent execution of system requirements, communication, change management, issues management, and post-implementation support. S/he must propose measures of success and targeted outcomes and execution strategies. After successful implementation the Director will continue to manage the ongoing digital initiatives through implementation and support.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field and five years management experience required. Master's degree preferred
- EPIC experience required (specifically My Chart, On-line scheduling, EpiCare Link, Telehealth) and certification preferred
- Experience with deployment of digital and mobile application technologies required
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in Application Management, Project Management, Vendor and Contract Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong political acumen, diplomacy, and emotional intelligence
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
- Must have sound knowledge of the health care environment and applications.
- Strong supervision and management skills
- Excellent business management skills, including business organization and operation
- Ability to address policies, principles, and operational issues in both overview and detailed levels
- Innovative team building skills
- Ability to develop financial models
- Ability to deal effectively with customers, management, system and application programmers, and vendors
- Ability to understand the requirements of various constituencies and put them into operating terms for delivery teams
- Exceptional analytical, planning, problem solving, and systems design skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and activities within time, budget, and technical constraints
- Ability to deconstruct a verbalized goal into separate tasks that work in concert to change an idea into reliable software
- Ability to transform functional requirements into digital reality
- Ability to manage technical teams in a matrix environment
- Epic certification preferred.
