Diamond Drill Operator – Surface Mining and Quarrying Job

Operating custom design top-drive hydraulic core rigs
Disassembling, moving and reassembling drill rig as required
Surveying hole with surveying equipment as requested by client
Completing daily activity reports, accurately logging all activities
Providing drilling information and technical support to client as required
Performing regular inspections and maintenance of all equipment
Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical problems with drill and associated equipment in an efficient and timely manner to avoid downtime
Training, directing and supervising Drill Helpers

Proven experience of operating top drive diamond rigs
Detailed knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical drilling systems
Experience of disassembling and reassembling portable diamond rigs
Proven experience of moving portable diamond drills between drill holes with both helicopters and heavy equipment
Extensive experience of inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing drill rigs and associated equipment
