DevOps Engineer Job

Cherith Analytics LLC seeks a DevOps Engineer in Rancho Cucamonga CA.

1. Infrastructure Management:
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Linode to support application development and production environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate provisioning and configuration of servers, networks, and storage.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of applications.

2. Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing frameworks and ensure code quality before deployment.
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to streamline application deployment and scaling.

3. Automation and Scripting:
• Develop and maintain scripts in languages such as Go or Bash to automate repetitive tasks, system monitoring, and log analysis in Linux-based environments.
• Implement automation for system backups, disaster recovery, and security patching using tools and frameworks compatible with Linux, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with industry standards.

4. Monitoring and Incident Response:
• Configure and manage monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack to track system performance, application metrics, and potential security threats.
• Respond to and resolve incidents related to infrastructure or application failures, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Establish and maintain alerting systems to proactively address issues before they impact end users.

5. Collaboration and Security:
• Collaborate closely with DevOps Engineers and QA engineers to ensure seamless integration of development and operational workflows.
• Implement security best practices, including managing firewalls, IAM roles, and encryption protocols, to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in code reviews and infrastructure audits to uphold high standards of quality and compliance.

6. Documentation:
• Document infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, AI tool development, and incident response procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.

Must have at least 4 years’ experience in

• Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture: Multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, Linode) | Infrastructure as Code | High availability design
• CI/CD & Containerization: Pipeline automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI) | Docker & Kubernetes | Automated testing
• Automation & Scripting: Go, Bash | Infrastructure automation | System monitoring and log analysis
• Monitoring & Incident Management: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack | Root cause analysis | Proactive alerting
• Security & Compliance: IAM and firewall management | Encryption | Regulatory compliance

Employer accepts a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or relevant followed by 4 years of experience in the position software engineer, DevOps Engineer or related.
