Development Lead Job

Zoetis, Inc. Lead the agile development team in their continued delivery of new features & functionality. Collaborate and coordinate with other developers, including onsite and offshore managed service partners. Review & approve code from developers on your team, ensuring that they are following both best coding practices and Zoetis design patterns. Participate in all aspects of the development workstream (design, estimation, prioritization, testing, deployment, etc.). Accurately estimate work effort and set a realistic schedule for development. Develop and support systems in the Python, MS-SQL, Java, C++ and Bash including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and enhancements. Deliver solutions according to agreed project timelines, taking the initiative to drive the outcomes requested by the business and ZTD management. Define / document robust business system requirements. A variety of tools and techniques are used, including user stories, interviews, observation, workflow/process/data modelling / analysis. Analyze requirements to develop solution designs, working with stakeholders in the business and IT. Translate business requirements into data design requirements and subsequent data models. Participate in continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing cycle times, eliminating redundancies, and increasing throughput. Maintain effective business relations and rapport - delivering timely and relevant information with the ability to quickly identify and report problems and delays. Aid in the generation and execution of corrective and preventative actions stemming from system issues & errors. Provide support for and be able to execute genetic evaluation systems to support the translation of genomic, phenotypic and pedigree data into consolidated outcomes for Zoetis customers. Work and coordinate with the genetic evaluation and technical teams in resolving issues that may impact delivery of results and execution of the pipeline. Perform quality checks and data analysis on available data to ensure completeness and internal consistency. Actively manage pending requests and reprioritization of support request in queue in consultation with department-level and business leadership as business needs evolve globally. Develop new procedures and tools for data integration from multiple sources. Salary: $165,589.00.
