Job Description:
Position: Dental Ceramist
Wage: $42.00 to $58.00 hourly(to be negotiated) / 30 to 40 hours per Week
Benefit : Extended Medical Plan
Job duties:
1. Fabricate, layer, and finish custom ceramic dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, and onlays, based on dentist prescriptions and case specifications.
2. Apply porcelain and zirconia layering techniques to achieve accurate shade matching, translucency, anatomy, contour, and natural esthetics.
3. Perform staining, glazing, polishing, and final finishing to ensure clinical acceptability, durability, and esthetic quality.
4. Operate CAD/CAM systems, milling equipment, and sintering furnaces to produce precise ceramic restorations.
5. Interpret dental prescriptions, models, bite registrations, and occlusal records to ensure functional and esthetic accuracy.
6. Inspect restorations throughout production and correct issues related to fit, occlusion, shade, contour, and surface finish.
7. Communicate with laboratory staff and, when required, dentists regarding case specifications, material selection, and technical adjustments.
8. Maintain accurate laboratory records for case progress, materials used, and completed work according to laboratory procedures and quality standards.

Requirements
• College/CEGEP in dental technology/technician or equivalent experience
• 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience
