Responsibilities / Tasks
• Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments
• Prepare dental instruments, filling materials, and equipment
• Sterilize and maintain instruments and operatory equipment
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Record dental procedures performed on patients
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Order and maintain dental and office supplies
• Perform administrative duties related to dental services
• Invoice patients for dental services
• Prepare plaster models, moulds, and wax bite-blocks
• Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts
• Polish teeth, clinical crowns, dentures, and apply fluoride/sealants
• Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations
• Supervise dental assistants, students, and lab support staff when required
• Train dental laboratory assistants
• Polish and buff dentures

• HARP (Healing Arts Radiation Protection) Certification
