Dental Assistant Job

Responsibilities
As a Dental Assistant, your role will involve a mix of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations and outstanding patient experiences:
• Chairside Assistance: Aid the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning fluids, and taking digital X-rays and scans.
• Treatment Room Preparation: Set up treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and ensure materials and equipment are ready.
• Patient Care: Prepare patients for treatments, monitor vital signs, provide postoperative instructions, and deliver compassionate support throughout procedures.
• Oral Hygiene Education: Teach patients proper brushing, flossing, and rinsing techniques for maintaining oral health.
• Sterilization and Maintenance: Clean and maintain instruments and equipment, adhering to safety standards.
• Patient Records Management: Document treatments, update digital patient files, and assist in treatment planning.
• Scheduling: Manage appointments to maintain efficient practice operations.
• Patient Education: Explain procedures clearly and address any patient concerns or questions.
• Administrative Tasks: Answer phones, manage inventory, and order supplies as needed.

Requirements
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
• Certification or associate degree from an accredited dental assisting program.
• Dental X-ray certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A consistently professional appearance and demeanor.
• A patient-focused approach and a commitment to providing excellent care.
