We are currently seeking a Delivery Drivers Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the efficiency, safety, and overall effectiveness of our delivery operations, ensuring timely and reliable service.

Duties and responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end process of daily food deliveries, ensuring timely, accurate, and safe delivery of all orders while monitoring real-time progress to troubleshoot issues.
Oversee all aspects of the company vehicle fleet, encompassing the coordination of acquisition, registration, and proper outfitting of new delivery vehicles.
Implement a proactive vehicle maintenance and repair schedule to minimize downtime, ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, and manage relationships with external service providers.
Create and manage weekly driver schedules to meet fluctuating demand and seasonal volume precisely within established labour budget targets.
Develop and maintain a dynamic capacity planning model to forecast the required fleet size and driver workforce needed to support the expanding network of stores.
Proactively manage risk by conducting regular safety audits, route hazard assessments, and equipment inspections to ensure compliance with transportation laws.
Hire, train, and conduct comprehensive onboarding for all new drivers, sharing expertise on van safety protocols and maintenance procedures to uphold high standards.
Work directly with the accounting and finance departments to forecast and plan the annual maintenance and repair budget while tracking variable operational expenses.

Requirements
Completion of secondary school (post-secondary education in transportation, logistics, or a related field is an asset)
+2 years of experience as a commercial driver or in ground transportation operations
Previous supervisory or team lead experience is strongly preferred
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., hours of service, vehicle inspections)
Experience coordinating routes, schedules, and delivery logistics
Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and basic computer applications

Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills

Remuneration
$36.60 CAD per hour
30 hours per week;full-time, permanent position
