Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Daycare Supervisor to lead our team of early childhood educators and assistants. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring high standards of care and education while maintaining compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements. You will foster a positive and inclusive environment for children, staff, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and supervise the daily operations of the daycare, ensuring a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for children.
• Recruit, train and supervise a team of early childhood educators and assistants. Provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of care and professionalism.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate programs that support children's physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development. Ensure activities align with educational and developmental goals.
• Ensure the daycare complies with all local health, safety and licensing regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, addressing inquiries and concerns, and providing regular updates on children’s progress.
• Oversee the enrollment, attendance records and staff scheduling. Prepare reports for manager’s review.
• Oversee any dietary restrictions and allergies, ensuring children’s health needs are met.
• Supervise the ongoing staff professional development programs. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education.
• Ensure the daycare facility is clean, well-maintained and organized to create a welcoming and functional environment.
• Ensure that children are protected by maintaining proper supervision, promptly addressing safety concerns and adhering to all child protection policies.
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $28.50-$31.50 per hour
Regular working hours: 40 hours per week

• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.
Education: Minimum of a College Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
Work experience: At least 2 years of experience as an early childhood educator, with supervisory experience preferred.
License Requirement: Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
Other Requirements:
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Up-to-date immunization records.
• Valid Tuberculosis test.
• Criminal record check.
