Job Description:
Today, in line with our commitment to providing high-quality services to children and their families, we are urgently seeking an experienced ECE teacher with strong leadership skills to join our team as an Assistant Supervisor. This role will involve both ECE responsibilities and some administrative tasks to support our operational needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Plan, schedule and implement the daily program of appropriate developmental experiences for a group of children.
• Create weekly lesson plans around the theme of the week, plan outdoor and indoor activities and projects, make games and learning materials, and lead music, art, drama and story activities for children.
• Be aware of safety hazards, provide care and protection for assigned children, create and maintain a safe, positive, happy atmosphere and a loving care for each child.
• Assess the abilities, interest and personal needs of each child, work with children on individual development and assist children with personal needs/self-help skills.
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems, know and use positive discipline procedures, and prepare and maintain accident report and progress report for parents, guardians or supervisor
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
• Create and maintain safe, hygiene and appropriate environment for different functions during a day, such as center time, lunch time, snack time, naptime and maintain routine chart.
• Be alert to possible illness, assist in medication in accordance with State Regulations.
• Greet and communicate with parents daily, prepare students progress report and organize parent-teacher conferences or other events.
• Work in cooperation with and be willing to share ideas with teachers and other staff members to develop a good working unit within the program.
• Follow Center policies and philosophies and maintain staff, child and parent confidentiality.
• Attend Staff Meetings/in-services and obtain continuing education hours as per State Regulations.
• Assist in the implementation of administrative procedures that align with Tiny Hoppers’ protocol and daycare’s own situation and objectives.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising daycare teachers in delivering high-quality services and programs for children and families.
• Coordinate purchasing of supplies, equipment, and teaching materials.
• Represent the daycare center and work cooperatively with owners, staff, families, and other public organizations in the absence of the Director/Principal.
Job Requirements:
Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum a college diploma in early childhood education or a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as child development, family studies, special education, Psychology, Social work, etc.
• ECE certificate is a mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ECE in a childcare setting
• Know and understand emergency and first aid procedures.
• Understand child abuse and neglect laws and procedures for reporting.
• Have proven knowledge of the CCEYA and CCLS Licensing Requirements.
• Passionate about early childhood education
