Database Engineer Job

Position Title: Database Engineer
Location: Marion, OH

Description:
Database Engineer will be involved in application data flow design and development procedures. Database Engineer will also be instrumental in the functional testing of software applications, perform business analysis for applications in data flow systems. The Database Engineer position will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and developing technical solutions within the technological functions in accordance with the policies and practices. Basic duties but not limited to are detailed below:

Responsibilities:
• Design data warehouse solutions by implementing a solid, robust, extensible data flow that supports key business logic flows.
• Develop data transformations to populate data into a warehouse table structures for optimized reporting.
• Establish efficient design and programming patterns for engineers and non-technical individuals.
• Enable an innovative approach to data platforms to increase flexibility, scalability, and reliability of data flow solutions.
• Design, integrate, and document technical components for seamless data extraction and analysis on big data platforms.
• Work in a team environment, interact with multiple groups on a daily basis.
• Work in cross-disciplinary teams to understand client needs and ingest rich data sources.
• Analyze, test and defect fix solutions using big data technologies.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT or computer science or a related field or its equivalent.
- Exposure to data analysis, data engineering or big data.
