Job Summary:
A Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining information in computer systems and databases. This role requires excellent typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information while meeting productivity and accuracy standards.
Key Responsibilities
Enter, update, and verify data in company databases and computer systems.
Review documents for accuracy and completeness before data entry.
Correct errors and inconsistencies in records.
Maintain and organize digital and physical files.
Generate reports and retrieve information as requested.
Ensure data confidentiality and comply with company policies.
Scan, copy, and file documents when necessary.
Perform routine database maintenance and quality checks.
Communicate with team members to resolve missing or incorrect information.
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly productivity and accuracy goals.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree is a plus).
Previous data entry or administrative experience preferred.
Fast and accurate typing skills (typically 40–60+ words per minute).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
Experience with database management systems or CRM software is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
