Position Info:

Position: Chef
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $37.00/hour
Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
Number of Positions: 2
Work Location: 10-4890 Rutherford Road, Nanaimo, BC V9T 4Z4

Job Duties:

Prepare and cook foods on a regular basis
Plan menus and ensure products meet quality control standards
Supervise activities of cooks and kitchen workers
Direct cooks in food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes
Analyze and estimate operating and labour costs
Keep records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
Arrange for kitchen equipment purchases and repairs
Recruit and train kitchen staff as necessary
Job requirements:

Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
Education: Completion of secondary school is required
Language: English
