Job Requirements:
Responsibilities :
1. Calf barn chores such as feeding pellets, giving fresh water, checking health status, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, moving calves with zoom boom.
2. Sort, brand and handle animals. Scrapping rubber mats in heifer barns, doing heifer barn pellets and checking for nose rings.
3. Maintain or assist in the maintenance of facilities and farm infrastructure including cleaning stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
4. Farm maintenance, picking up newborn calves and taking them to a special area, moving the mother out for treatment to milking potentially out of 3 different shifts and performing maintenance on the parlor.
5. Milking the cows and assisting with breeding activities.
6. Monitor the health of animals and provide care.
7. Prepare animals for transportation.
8. May operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
