Cyber Security Specialist Job

Job Description

Greekology is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to support the daily operation of enterprise security systems across on-premises and cloud environments. The role focuses on operational support, security monitoring, documentation, and continuous process improvement, while collaborating with internal teams to maintain secure and reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities

Support day-to-day operations of multi-layered security systems in accordance with established policies and procedures

Manage and resolve incidents and service requests through ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Remedy

Assist with security architecture reviews and ensure system compatibility

Support the delivery of cybersecurity projects and initiatives

Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and on-call rotations

Contribute to operational process improvements and documentation updates

Support SOC investigations by extracting logs, data, and supporting evidence

Required Skills and Experience

5 years of hands-on experience supporting on-premises security solutions

3 years of experience supporting cloud-based security platforms

Enterprise-level experience with SIEM tools

Experience with threat detection and prevention tools (e.g., CrowdStrike)

Hands-on experience with WAF or WAAP solutions

Strong Excel skills (XLSX/XLSM) for data analysis and reporting

Experience managing access controls, rules, dashboards, and performance monitoring

Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or Java

Experience with SQL, KQL, XML, and JSON

Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments

Experience with Dynatrace; familiarity with Elastic Stack/Kibana is an asset

Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong teamwork skills with experience in complex technical environments

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Well-organized with a disciplined and systematic approach

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Professional cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, or similar) are an asset
