Job Description:
We are a growing healthcare company seeking a reliable, professional, and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team on a freelance/remote basis. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in healthcare support and be comfortable assisting patients, families, and providers with empathy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and billing questions.
• Provide accurate information about healthcare services and policies.
• Document all interactions in our system with attention to detail.
• Handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient care.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in healthcare customer service, medical call centers, or patient support.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Reliable internet connection and quiet remote workspace.
• Familiarity with EHR systems, CRM tools, or healthcare software is a plus
