Cranbrook Bottle Depot is hiring F/T Bottle Sorters. Job

Position Info:
• Position: Bottle Sorter
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $23.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 1125 Industrial Rd 3, Cranbrook, BC V1C 5E3

Benefits:
• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Separate returned beverage containers by material type, size, and refund category at the sorting stations
• Count containers and record weights and quantities against customer receipts and depot records
• Load sorted containers into bags, bins, and crates for shipment to processing facilities
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other powered equipment to move bulk loads within the depot
• Inspect sorted loads for contamination or miscategorized items and correct errors before shipment
• Train new sorters on sorting standards, safe lifting practices, and equipment use
• Maintain sorting machines, conveyors, and work areas in a sanitary and safe condition

Job requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary education is required
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in the occupation supervised are required
