Cost Specialist Job

A Cost Specialist is needed in Opelika, Alabama.

• Evaluate and compile detailed cost data and by analyzing various cost factors and variances for manufacturing of automotive body components such as sidewall, connecting sheet, reinforcement guide rail, crossmember front wall, and trunk floor laterals.
• Collect all expense and cost data to analyze and estimate costs for labor, purchasing, marketing, manufacturing, maintenance, occupancy expenses, sales and administrative operations.
• Estimate overall costs and prepare analysis reports for manufacturing operations and general business sales operations by evaluating previous and current expenditure/sales and forecasting future budget.
• Research current market trends in automotive and manufacturing industry to provide cost effective solutions for operations by identifying or reducing dispensable expenses.
• Confer with human resources personnel to determine employees and staffing company’s labor cost by estimating total labor expenditure cost.
• Develop cost effective business strategies by analyzing market trends, overall financial status, manufacturing processes, cost factors, and materials specifications.
• Develop cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
