Cost Analyst Job

A Cost Analyst is needed in Opelika, Alabama.

• Collect all expense and cost data to analyze and estimate costs for labor, purchasing, market-ing, manufacturing, maintenance, occupancy expenses, sales and administrative costs for business operation in manufacturing of hard plastic automotive parts made with composite materials such as Glass Mat Thermoplastics (“GMT”), Expanded Poly Propylene (“EPP”), sheet molding compounds and other compounds.
• Estimate overall costs and prepare analysis reports for manufacturing operations and general business sales operations by evaluating previous and current expenditure/sales and forecast-ing future budget.
• Research current market trends in automotive industry to provide cost effective products to clients by identifying or reducing dispensable expenses.
• Confer with human resources personnel to determine employees and staffing company’s la-bor cost by estimating total labor expenditure cost.
• Evaluate production cost and compile detailed cost estimation report by analyzing various cost factors and variances.
• Develop cost effective business strategies by analyzing market trends, overall financial sta-tus, manufacturing process, cost factors, and materials specifications.
• Develop cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
