Job Description:
Our restaurant is located in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and fully serves Korean-style cuisine. Now we are looking for experienced cooks who are willing to become our valued team members.
Employer: Coco Asian Food Parkview Corp. (o/a Coco Yum)
Position: 3 Full-time Cooks
Working Location: 381 Parkview Rd. Yorkton, SK, S3N 3A9
Wage: $17.00 ~ $20.00 per hour (to be negotiated) and 6% of the gross income for paid vacation per year.
Work Hours: 30~40 hours per week.
Start date of Employment: ASAP
Responsibilities
- Cook complete various foods according to our recipe.
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat and etc.)
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies and intolerances.
- Check food while cooking to stir or turn.
- Check the quality of ingredients.
- Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Inspect kitchens and food services areas.
- Clean kitchen and workstation.
- Train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Requirements
- Education: secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage.
- Experience: 2+ years of commercial cooking experience.
- Knowledge of Korean cuisine would be an advantage.
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
- Good communication skills.
