Cook Job

1363557 BC LTD operating as Karma Indian Bistro is looking to hire a cook for their business located at 2741 W 4th Ave, Vancouver, BC V6K 1P9. This is a Full-time permanent position with 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week.

As a cook, you will be performing the following job duties:

- Cook vegetarian and non vegetarian meals according to the client demand.
- Keep the record of food items and maintain inventory.
- Determine size of food portions and estimate food requirements and costs.
- Train and instruct workers in proper food preparation procedures.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, season and cook food according to recipes.
- Estimate amounts and costs and requisition supplies and equipment.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen helpers engaged in food preparation.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and use precautions while using Allergan products in food.

Number of positions: 1

Job Requirements:

- Completion of Secondary School is required
- 2-3 years of work experience in cooking is required, preferably in Indian Cuisine
- English as a language skill is required.

What we offer:

- $21.00 per hour
- 4% Vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid with each pay period
- Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time position
