Job Description:
JOB DUTIES
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Prepare and cook complete meals using a full range of cooking methods
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Help lead and inspire kitchen staff and helpers
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Manage kitchen operations
QUALIFICATION
• High School Diploma or above
• Proven years of experience as cook
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
• Ability to follow recipe instructions
