Prepare full meals as well as individual dishes, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
Create menu plans and calculate the food quantities required to execute them efficiently.
Determine appropriate portion sizes and estimate food costs to support budgeting and inventory control.
Cook specialized meals for patients based on instructions from chefs or dietitians.
Accommodate customers with food allergies or intolerances by preparing modified dishes safely.
Request and order food items, kitchen supplies, and equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, supplies, and kitchen equipment.
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food-safety standards.
Inspect food preparation and service areas to uphold sanitation and quality requirements.
Train kitchen staff in food handling, preparation techniques, and safe cooking practices.
Supervise helpers and other kitchen personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
Clean workstations and kitchen areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
Participate in ordering, receiving, and storing supplies to support daily operations.
