We are looking for cooks for our clients. You will be reporting to 100 College Circle, Donald Blvd, Red Deer, AB T0M 1R0, Canada. This position is in a remote site within a rural destination.
JOB DUTIES:
Prepare and cook high-volume meals, specialty dishes, grab-and-go items, and daily feature menus for students, staff, campus visitors, and catered events in accordance with Aramark’s food quality standards.
Perform food preparation across multiple kitchen stations including grill, hot line, cold kitchen, breakfast, sandwich, and international menu stations within campus dining operations.
Coordinate food production and service during peak meal periods, conferences, catering functions, and campus events while ensuring efficient workflow and timely service.
Prepare soups, sauces, proteins, vegetables, baked items, and daily menu features using standardized recipes, portion specifications, and commercial kitchen equipment.
Monitor food quality, portion control, inventory usage, and storage practices to maintain consistency, minimize waste, and support cost control objectives.
Assist in the preparation and execution of catering orders, banquet-style service, and special campus dining functions.
Ensure compliance with HACCP procedures, food safety regulations, sanitation standards, allergen management, and proper food handling practices within all kitchen operations.
Collaborate with chefs, supervisors, and food service staff to maintain operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and consistent food presentation standards.
Prerequisites:
Education: Master’s Degree or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more prior supervisory experience within the food industry or equivalent experience.
Language: English
Driver’s license is required
Hourly Wage: $18.18 for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
