Job duties
Prepare and cook sushi rolls, teriyaki dishes, tempura, noodles, rice dishes, and other Japanese-style menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
Prepare fresh ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and cooking rice.
Inspect ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures to maintain freshness and hygiene.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Monitor inventory and keep records of food supplies, ensuring ingredients are stocked and fresh.
Assist in planning menus and estimating ingredient needs.
Train, supervise, and coordinate kitchen helpers and other food preparation staff.
Job requirements
Completion of secondary school is a must.
At least a year of working experience as a cook or similar role is a must.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high food quality standards.
