Job Description:

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
Determine the size of food portions and costs
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Order supplies and equipment
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Clean kitchen and work areas
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Open and close the restaurant

Requirements:

- Education: Completion of high school is required

- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook is required. In the event that the candidate does not have 3 years of experience then a post-secondary certificate is required

-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail

-Personal suitability: Flexibility, Team player, Initiative, Client focus, Dependability, Reliability, Organized.

-Language: English is required.

Salary: $17.00 - $19.00 hourly, 40-48 hours per week.

Benefits: Extended medical insurance, year-end bonus, free uniforms for work, free meals, accommodation provided at a cost, and transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate.

Important information: The chosen candidates will have a flexible schedule based on the restaurant’s demand. Days off on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required. We are open 7 days per week during the season. Work schedule includes weekends and evenings shifts. Employees may work either a split shift from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., or a continuous shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The chosen candidates will work the majority of their hours on weekends, when demand peaks, and throughout the week to fulfil opening hours.
