Job title: Cook (NOC 63200)
Wage: $17.50/hour
Work hours: Monday-Sunday, 35 hours/week

Vacation: 2 weeks of paid vacation per annum or remuneration of 4% of basic salary

Job duties

Prepare and cook Chinese and other menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Prepare ingredients, including cutting, chopping, marinating, and portioning food.
Cook food using different methods, including stir-frying, deep-frying, steaming, and boiling.
Check food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, cooking equipment, and work areas.
Store food properly and follow food safety and hygiene requirements.
Assist with daily kitchen operations and maintain an organized and efficient work area.
Work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment and complete tasks within required timeframes.

Job requirements
Completion of secondary school is a must.
At least a year of working experience as a cook is a must.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures.
Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
