Job title: Cook (NOC 63200)
Wage: $17.50/hour
Work hours: Monday-Sunday, 35 hours/week

Vacation: 2 weeks of paid vacation per annum or remuneration of 4% of basic salary

Job duties
Prepare and cook high-quality Canadian-Chinese dishes consistently.
Handle a high volume of dine-in and takeout orders efficiently during rush hours.
Complete daily prep work including cutting meats, chopping vegetables, and preparing sauces.
Maintain clear, respectful, and proactive communication with front and back-of-house staff.
Follow provincial health regulations, food safety standards, and temperature controls strictly.
Keep your workstation clean throughout the shift and perform routine kitchen deep cleaning.
Monitor food stock levels, inspect ingredient freshness, and minimize kitchen waste.
Modify recipes accurately to accommodate guests with specific food allergies or dietary needs.

Job requirements
Completion of secondary school is a must.
At least one year of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
Ability to stay organized, focused, and positive in a high-energy kitchen.
Strong communication skills and a deep commitment to teamwork.
Goal-oriented mindset with a desire for long-term career growth.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
