Main duties
• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Prepare and cook special meals or customised meals as per customer and chef’s request.
• Handle food safely, following all health regulations and guidelines to prevent contamination.
• Oversee kitchen operations and flow, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes.
• Maintain the usage of equipment, use of deep fryer, grill, oven, dispensers, and other equipment to prepare food items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Clean equipment, kitchen, and work area.
Employment requirements:
• Secondary school education is required.
• Food Safety Certificate is required
• One-year Professional Cook 1 certificate is required or 1 year work experience as cook in Restaurant.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
