Job title: Food service supervisor (NOC 63200)
Nature: Full-time permanent
Wage: $17.00/hour
Work hours: Monday-Sunday, 35 hours/week

Vacation: 2 weeks of paid vacation per annum or remuneration of 4% of basic salary

Job duties
Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.
Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, marinating, and portioning food items.
Cook meat, seafood, vegetables, soups, sauces, and other menu items using appropriate cooking techniques.
Ensure food is prepared and presented in a consistent and timely manner.
Maintain proper food portions and minimize food waste.
Monitor food supplies and assist with inventory control and ordering when required.
Assist with planning daily food preparation and coordinate with other kitchen staff during busy periods.
Ensure special customer requests and dietary requirements are properly followed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including cooking areas, equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
Job requirements
Secondary school education is a must.
Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen is a must.
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to food quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time-management and organizational skills.
Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
